Robert W. “Bobby” Bostaph

  • Retired FBI Agent

  • Served on the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team (HRT) at Quantico, Virginia for five years as an Assaulter, Sniper, and Medic. Numerous operational deployments domestically and internationally, including Mosul and Rabia, Iraq. Was the Principal Firearms Instructor for HRT for two years.

  • Served as a Team Leader for the FBI’s SWAT Team in the Columbia (South Carolina) Division of the FBI for more than two years. At the same time, was assigned as a Violent Crimes investigator in the Greenville Office of the FBI.

  • Served as the Principal Firearms Instructor for the FBI’s National SWAT Program for more than nine years at Quantico, VA. Also managed the Sniper Program for the FBI’s National SWAT Program.

  • Served as Regional Program Manager for FBI SWAT for the Northeast Region for two years. Coordinated high-risk SWAT operations in the Northeast Region.

  • Served as a driving instructor at the FBI’s Tactical Emergency Vehicle Operations Center (TEVOC) for over two years. Led and instructed at HRT’s Off-road and Recovery Driving school at Moab, Utah.

  • Honors/Awards/Certifications: DoD Top Secret Level Security Clearance and SCI; FBI TEVOC instructor certification; FBI Off-road and Recovery course; FBI Hostage Negotiator certification; FBI Tactical Instructor certification; US Army 2nd Ranger Regiment Armored Vehicle course; FBI HRT Armored Vehicle school, FBI Dignitary Protection certification; FBI HRT Overseas Tactical Driving school (Westpoint, VA); USMC Scout Sniper certification; FBI HRT Operator/Sniper certification; FBI HRT Operator certification; Bill Scott Raceway Precision Driving school; West Virginia State Police High-speed Pursuit Driving course.

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Technology from Ohio University.
