Deployed to Iraq in 2005 as part of the Regime Crimes Liaison Office (RCLO), a Department of Justice (DOJ) initiative conducting investigations targeting Saddam Hussein and other regime, intelligence, and military officials
Deployed to Iraq in 2007 as part of the Hostage Working Group (HWG), a multi-agency, and multi-national, task force conducting investigations related to the kidnappings of U.S. and coalition citizens
FBI-Atlanta SWAT Team member for 22 years; serving as an operator/breacher, and later as Assault Team Leader - duties collateral to investigative assignment
Promoted to Assistant SWAT Team Leader and served full-time in this position for 5 years
Participated in, and conducted operational planning for, numerous high-risk arrests
Served as FBI-Atlanta SWAT Dignitary Protection (DIGPRO) Coordinator for 14 years
Coordinated and participated in protective details in support of the FBI Director’s Protective Detail (DPD) and the U.S. Attorney General’s Protective Details (AGPD), domestically and in 14 foreign countries
Provided force protection for FBI Agents investigating the kidnappings of American citizens in Haiti
Conducted physical security assessments for various public venues and government facilities, to include, for example, the University of Georgia’s football stadium and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) campus
Participated in the implementation of security measures for national special events including Super Bowls, national political conventions, the 2004 G8 Summit, and the 2016 Presidential Inauguration
Prior to entering on duty with the FBI, worked in the private sector for 4 years (1993-1997), preceded by 3 years on active duty in the U.S. Army (1990-1993)
